Because of its relatively highly reactive nature, of the 4 compounds listed, Oxygen was the most important to not be present initially in thee atmosphere.

This does present a challenge because without oxygen in the atmosphere, there is no formation of O3, ozone, which is critical for the protection of organisms from solar radiation. So the first organisms had to be relatively or totally insensitive to solar radiation, and living in areas not so exposed to solar radiation, like in the ocean.

Additionally, because God created the first organism(s) to bioform the planet, the first organisms began the conversion of surface materials and the atmosphere to increase the oxygen content to eventually support more complex life as well as create the ozone protective layer.
